Nesmah is a holistic system and methodology for breathwork and personal growth, developed by Manal Al-Musallam after a journey spanning more than 25 years of work in the fields of development, wellbeing, human relations, and self-development — and more than 17 years of specialized experience in breathwork techniques.

Nesmah was born from a deep personal journey of self-exploration, offering a practical and gentle path toward calm, balance, and emotional and psychological improvement.

Nesmah is considered one of the leading programs offered at the Breath of Joy Center, aiming to help individuals breathe consciously, express themselves authentically, and live in harmony with themselves and with life.

The Nesmah system is based on integrating:

  • Breathwork techniques

  • Gentle physical exercises that help reduce stress and tension and increase flexibility

  • Mental and writing exercises that support clarity of mind and organized thinking

  • Positive thinking as a foundation for building inner balance and a healthy lifestyle

Nesmah is built upon four essential pillars known as The 4 N’s of Nesmah:

  1. Nafas – Awareness of breath as an entryway to balance and stability

  2. Nibras – Clarity as a pathway to understanding and maturity

  3. Naghmah – Inner harmony as a symbol of authentic self-expression

  4. Nuqta – The present moment, where true change begins

Nesmah is offered through a scientific and human-centered approach suitable for all communities and belief systems, while maintaining its Arab cultural roots that embody gentleness, simplicity, and human depth.

Its system includes three main stages:

  • Nesmah Essentials – Practitioner Program
    A personal journey toward balance and inner growth. Participants learn the full methodology and apply it to themselves.

  • Specialist Training Program for applying the methodology with others.

  • Train the Trainer Program: Preparing leaders and instructors within the Nesmah system.
